HEXFRED® diodes are optimized to reduce losses andEMI/RFI in high frequency power conditioning systems. Anextensive characterization of the recovery behavior fordifferent values of current, temperature and dI/dt simplifiesthe calculations of losses in the operating conditions. Thesoftness of the recovery eliminates the need for a snubber inmost applications. These devices are ideally suited forpower converters, motors drives and other applicationswhere switching losses are significant portion of the totallosses.
