摘要：A die block, a shearing die, means for causing relative movement between thedie block and the shearing die to shear an article from a blank of material when the blankis disposed therebetween, a ram, and means for causing relative movement between theram and the die block to draw the sheared article into a drawn shape, the die block andshearing die having cooperating drawing surfaces for respectively engaging againstopposed sides of the sheared article and from between which the sheared article isadapted to be drawn by the drawing operation of the ram and the die block. Theapparatus has means for maintaining a predetermined spacing between the drawingsurfaces of the die block and the shearing die during the entire drawing operation of thesheared article therefrom so as to tend to prevent adverse ears at the outer peripheraledge of such drawn article.
