Alma!

The director tells a smooth and vivid story in this only five minutes. I can see Alma’s delightful mood when she sees a puppet who has the same face with herself at the beginning of the story, while at the end of the story I also shall count the helpless feeling as a personal favor when Alma knows herself is a puppet. Meanwhile Alma wants to enter into the shop’s eager desire and the door opens automatically Alma becomes happy soon. At the end of this short film, I see Alma’s afraid of being a puppet who only can roll her eyes but without any feeling, no moving and no happy laughing anymore. Here let me cannot help myself thinking about her pleasant face when she saw the puppet first time. Obviously this a short story, but I can see the flagrant contract from the fist second to the last. Then I also can know that the next ‘Alma’ will come soon. Only the short five minutes the director shows an absorbing story, let us know the children’s and the puppets’ curiosity and their up-and-down mood.I watch the film again and again just for my curiosity and my questions. Yes, for my curiosity, I am eager to finding out the key reason why we can see many hints which Alma also can realize this toyshop is a strange and dangerous place. But why Alma is still caught in this terrible trap. Alma writes her name on the blackboard where is many and many

children’s names. Alma opens the door with any help. Alma helps the ridding boy puppet ride again, but the boy puppet rides to the door straightly. These hints are all tell me also tell Alma it’s a risk to enter the toyshop and give Alma chances to leave here. For one second I have an idea that the hints are also temptations. Alma is attracted by the same puppet, I am attracted by the girl’s safety. She doesn’t the dangerous condition. How about me? When I focus on the film, if there is any danger just around me? Who knows? In one word, I consider that we people should not focus on some thing without any judgment, no matter adults or kids.

Alma will be or not be a happy human girl someday?We don’t know. So as kids, the film with puppets, maybe a little terrible if someday they face the real puppets. But director also tell us, something which is nice and wanted is standing in front of temptation and danger.If we lose ourselves into something without any realization about unsafe factors, perhaps we are dropping into the traps.With the beautiful scenery, the lightful music, the director shows a deep and serious story. Anyway I should say don’t lose ourselves into anything without realization and don’t forget safety and avoid the temptation. Thus please
