摘要：A circuit (35) limits the output drive current from an interface drive circuitcomprising drive transistors (48,50). The circuit (35) makes dual use of an external seriessupply resistor (30) as a current sensing element. The increased voltage drop across theexternal resistor (30) due to excessive current draw through the drive transistors (48,50)is coupled to a control transistor (38), which reduces base drive current to the drivetransistors (48,50) in response to the increased voltage drop.
