开放式作文

The picture shows us that a mother bird, staying in her nest, is looking into the distance, where her baby birds happily fly in the free sky without even glancing back.

In my point of view, what the picture conveys goes beyond itself. The mother bird possesses complicated feelings. Watching the backs of her children feeling both comforted and anxious, the mother bird is finally able to see her babies flying bravely in their own sky of freedom but no longer demanding her protection.

The bird family reminds me of my own family and what my parents might feel after I left home to seek an independent life on my own. The image makes me realize that, instead of merely concerning about my own brilliant life and promising future, I ought to come back home to visit my parents more often when I grow up, and always let them know, no matter where I am, I will always be there with them when they need me.

In the drawing, dozens of bricks stand in a circle, the first of which falls onto the next one.

In my point of view, the picture attempts to convey the message that the final success requires equal effort from every individual step in the process. The brick can be regarded as footprints that one leaves on his way to victory. Each of them makes its own contribution to the bright end, so that none of them is to be left out

or ignored.

The small bricks inspire me greatly, since I come to realize that if I wish to gain an outstanding mark in the end of my study, I am supposed to work diligently every day. As long as my continuous efforts form an orderly chain as are the bricks in the drawing, I am convinced that I will finally be able to achieve my goal.

The picture shows that a modern woman, dressed in fashionable clothes, is seated on a bench with a laptop on her knees. Her skillful manner of playing her computer arouses the curiosity of the elder, who is in Chinese traditional clothes, standing behind with a confusing look.

Enjoying the convenience and pleasure brought by the modern society, the woman lives a life that is beyond the widest imagination of people in the past. Not even knowing what a computer is, the elder cannot help wondering what an amazing life the young woman is experiencing, whereas she simply regards what she has as something so ordinary and common that not even worth mentioning.

Just like us, as a lucky generation living in such a brilliant age, we may be too occupied to take it into account how fortunate and blessed we are to be living in a society offering all the comforts and funs that one could think of. Compared to the old generation and their way of living, we are definitely supposed to cherish what we possess, while doing our utmost to learn more knowledge and sparing no efforts to contribute to our society.

As the picture describes, a fat fish is exerting himself to get into a small cup with a little water in it, while beside the cup lies a large and empty pond filled with clear water.

The fish should have realized that even though he were finally able to make his way through the mouth of the cup, he still couldn’t manage to swim in such a small amount of water. Actually, he would have been a lot more comfortable and better off if he chose the pond.

In my daily life, there are many times when I am confronted with various choices. I should understand that what really matters is to be more far-sighted and practical to make my decisions according to my own qualities and advantages. Only in this way can I be a good master of my own life.

As is described in the picture, a giraffe, exerting himself, stands awkwardly on his two back feet trying to reach the leaves on the tall tree above his head, but in vain. At the meantime, two small trees, which will not take him so much effort to feed himself, are right beside him, but totally ignored by the giraffe

In my point of view, what the picture conveys goes beyond itself. The giraffe stands for those who are not wise enough to choose something that fits them better. Never do they realize that if they lower their heads a bit and start being practical and realistic, they might be far better off and enjoy a more satisfying life.

The giraffe reminds me of my own decisions in daily life. Understanding my

own capabilities, I am supposed to set a goal that is more down-to-the-earth. It is by facing the real life practically that I will be able to seize those valuable opportunities to gain my own share of green leaves and live a better life.

As is described in the picture, a seemingly knowledgeable fat man is caged on his head though he is packed with books of various kinds in his empty belly.

In my point of view, the picture attempts to convey the message that if reading books with a narrow mind, one may never be capable of freeing himself with the power of knowledge.

The picture greatly inspires me in the aspect of studying in my daily life. Instead of mechanically memorizing the textbooks, I am to put what I’ve acquired on books into real use and always make an effort to be creative with the knowledge obtained, not to be restricted by it.

The picture shows four people fish beside a pond full of fishes. Three of them were leaving each with a poor empty fishing rod, while the one person who is patient enough to stay alone and keep on trying is finally able to catch a fish on his rod.

In my point of view, what the picture conveys goes beyond itself. The only fisher, who sticks to the end with perseverance and will to succeed, stands for the kind of person with great patience and determination to insist to the very end of something that he wants to achieve even if when he is left alone. The others, who

are disappointed and discouraged by the long time waiting, can only stand behind and watch other people’s success while complaining about their own bad lucks.

The picture makes me realizes sometimes it is not simply skills or abilities that tell winners and losers apart, but patience and will to be more persistent than anyone else that accompany the person laughing to the very last moment.

Blown down into halves by the howling wind, the tree, seemingly tough and powerful, is finally defeated, whereas the grass surrounding the tree, appearing to be weak and vulnerable, dances in the wind with their head held high.

In my point of view, the drawing attempts to convey the message that the true strength of a person ought not to be judged by his appearance, but by his inner power, which, even though invisible and intangible, is of great force beyond anyone’s imagination. Standing for the person with a weak mind, the tree is never capable of resisting the attack of the wind. In contrast, the grass, which refers to the person with strong will and mind, survives after going through all the ups and downs.

The image inspires me a lot. I come to realize that in real life what actually counts is not to pretend to be strong and respectable in front of people, but to learn to develop our inner potentials to be able to stand against any blows in my life in a humble manner.

As is vividly described in the picture, a young man, seated at the center of a

spider-net, stares at the computer in front of him with a rigid look.

In my point of view, what the drawing conveys goes beyond itself. The youth is captured and sunk helplessly in the net, which obviously refers to the internet. He is desperately addicted to the virtual world, so that by no means can he realize what dangerous situation he is in.

Those teenagers should be aware of the fact that no matter how appealing and alluring the internet world is, it’s unreal. Instead of indulging themselves in the unrealistic world, they are to focus their attention in their real life by getting acquainted with real friends and studying with great efforts to perfect themselves.

10% of the students prefer taking driving courses during the vacation. Nearly 20% of the students will choose to prepare themselves for learning abroad by studying for the IELTS, whose percentage is almost twice as large as that of learning to drive. By comparison, more people will make full use of this rare long holiday to relax and refresh themselves from the tiring routine to go sightseeing. The figure reaches as high as a little bit lower than 50%. The next category is entertainment programs of various kinds, the proportion of which accounts for more than 20%.

Judging from the statistics above, the students are no longer simply content with amusing themselves in common ways. Rather, most of them wish to broaden

their horizons and get a proper rest in a more informative and meaningful way, which I believe is of great significance to enhance the students’ overall qualities and knowledge.

The survey reveals that three types of behaviors of parents are welcomed by the students, while another three ways of treating the children are widely disapproved of. 22.7% of the students give their opinion that praise is one of the ways that they favor. Another 31.7% suggest what helps most on their way of growing up is to respect their thoughts and exchange views with them as friends. By comparison, even more of them, accounting for 33.5%, hold the view that they like it when their parents treat them with trust.

Judging from chart 2, interfering too much in the lives of children is what repels the kids most, the figure of which is composed of 37.6%. As far as I am concerned, even though students are not yet grown-ups who can completely be independent from parents, they are still constantly badly in need of their own space and time to think things over and deal with businesses all by themselves.

记叙文

When the joyous morning sunlight enlightened our faces, Li Ming and I departed fully equipped for our adventure. I carried a bunch of necessities including some bread, a map, a knife, a first-aid kit, some matches, clothes, and a flashlight in my backpack, while Li Ming took a tent and a compass in his. Following the map, we soon reached the peak of a small hill, from the top of which

we got a bird’s eye view of our route ahead. Bordering the foot of the hill,a winding river flew across, opposite which a forest rambled over several miles. Traveling along the scheduled track, we caught sight of a wooden board beside the river. Loading our backpacks on it, we swam across the river while pushing our mini raft forward. No sooner had we gotten on to the bank than we continued our exploration in the woods. After some time, however, so thick did the forest grow that we totally lost our sense of direction. Fortunately, thanks to Li Ming’s compass, we were able to figure out the right way to our campsite before it turned completely dark. By the time we arrived at the campsite, the moon had already nestled above the undulating mountain in the far distance. While Li Ming was setting up our tent, I lighted up a campfire to cook which brightened our fatigued but merry faces.

Protecting the cabin from strong winds, the tree served as a tough shield and a loyal guard for the couple living in the cabin. One day, however, the male host took an axe to cut down the tree, so that he could build a new cabin with the wood cut from the tree. While countless branches were piling up higher and higher on the ground, the loyal guard wept tears silently along with each cut. Soon the tree was taken down. Wiping out his sweat with a foolish smile, the man got down to setting up his new cabin together with his wife. No sooner had they completed their work than the disastrous wind attacked again blowing down both cabins relentlessly. Standing petrified, the couple was shocked to the very end of their hair. They should have known it earlier that a tree means much more than an extra cabin. It means a better and safer place to live for their family.

Our class held a monitor election which every one of us had been looking forward to for a long time. Two of my classmates, Liu Dan and Wang Hong, offered to run for the class monitor by addressing a speech to us respectively. As voters, we bent our full attention to listening to their words and judging according to our own criteria. Having wound up their speeches, they both waited anxiously on their seats, while the rest of us lined up in front of the classroom to vote. Holding our votes expectantly, we put our votes along with our trust into the ballot box. After the voting, here came the exciting moment---the result was to be unveiled. Fifteen votes went to Liu Dan, whereas twenty eight votes supported Wang Hong, who, beyond doubt, turned out to be our new monitor. Every one of us applauded for her to express our congratulations. She too gave us her words filled with excitement and confidence that she would do her utmost to live up to her promises and our expectations.

On the early morning of April 4th, everybody of my class joyously headed to the suburb by bike to plant trees. Travelling along the winding lanes in the suburban area, we finally approached our destination taking on a bleak sight in front of us with only a few trees dotted. The moment we reached there, we wasted no time in getting down to our assigned work. Some of us dug holes on the ground so that others could plant the young trees in them. They cooperated with each other pleasantly, wile the rest of the students were watering the trees with buckets of clear water. Seeing the small trees being cheerfully nourished, we set out to work even harder seeming to be strengthened by immeasurable energy. Having wound up the planting, two of my classmates also planted a sigh reading ”Protecting the Trees” to remind others to care for our environment. In

the end, we couldn’t wait taking a picture with the small woods we just created with our own hands. Beaming with dazzling smiles, we proudly recorded the meaningful small difference we had made for our motherland.

Some are in favor of staying at home, on which they gave their reasons that it costs less and saves the unpredictable trouble of traveling, while enjoying the convenience and comfort at home. They also admit that, however, choosing not going out, one will unavoidably miss the chance of getting to know the outside world in person.

Others, who prefer traveling, regard this way of spending vacation as more informative and meaningful, since the experiences in the trip enable them to gain more knowledge and broaden their horizons. Meanwhile, traveling too has its drawbacks to be taken into account. It is comparatively more costly but less easeful, possibly, resulting in troubles of various kinds.

As for me, I am for the former plan. It allows me to take a good rest, while spending more time with my family. At the same time, I will be free to do some leisurely reading and work out more to keep fit, which otherwise I wouldn’t have time to do during school time.

Some of us think that it is better to see the film than to read the book in the original. For one thing, watching movies takes less time and easier to follow with

all their audio-visual effects. For another, vivid and lifelike as are films, they are definitely far more appealing compared with books. Others are in favor of reading books in the original. For one thing, they give their reasons that books in the original provides their readers with more detailed plots to relish, which a-two-hour-film can never be capable of presenting. For another, books brim with poetic and elegant expressions, which vanish without trace after being adapted for films.

Sixty percent of my schoolmates are in favor of the view that parks are not supposed to charge entrance fees, on which they further elaborate with two reasons. On one hand, parks free of charge enable the public around neighborhood to relax themselves freely and conveniently. On the other hand, if tickets are imposed on visitors, front gates and surrounding walls will have to be built, which, in turn, will unavoidably affect the original and harmonious city image to some extent.

In contrast, forty percent of the students are of one mind that admission is acceptable, but adding that the price oughtn’t to be too high. They also take two arguments into account. For one thing, income from the ticket selling can be used to pay gardeners in parks. For another, the money collected from admission charge also provides a source available to buy new types of flowers and trees.

As for me, I am in support of the former point of view, and I believe the truth lies in the hand of the majority. Do our arguments stand to reason, dear editor?

Yours truly,

Li Hua

Zhao Yu, the chief technician of Beijing Benz, has had passion for invention

ever since he was a child. But his fever for inventing new things didn’t make him an outstanding engineer. Instead, he worked as an ordinary worker for as long as seventeen years. During this time, however, his enthusiasm for knowledge never fades away, for he taught himself computer and English so that he was able to figure out the meaning of English materials related to cars. As a result of his hard work, he was highly informed in automobile technology so as to tackle various tough technological problems. Needless to say, he has also been awarded numerous prizes due to his excellence in the field.

Zhao Yu was not born to be a great technician, but his will and diligence to follow his interest and make the best out of it lead to his final success, which is worth everyone of us thinking about and learning from.
